Listening to the "new" EP from Sleeper Set Sail is like crawling into an emo time machine in more ways than one. Three of the five tracks featured here are from the band’s out-of-print debut and with heavily-affected guitars roaring underneath vocal howling, every one of those songs sounds alarmingly like Sunny Day Real Estate. The two new tracks on A Foreword definitely see the band developing their own voice with proggy lurching and spacey noodling. If this is any indication, get ready for the full-length in June – it will be intense.
