With a fitting start 15 years ago in a small village in Germany's Black Forest, the event has expanded to nine countries, including Norway and the United States. This year Berlin is playing host, and the competition is stiff, especially in the Freestyle event. In addition to providing awe-inspiring photos of past champions – like two-time Imperial Moustache champion Heinz Hille – the site provides a history of the event with a helpful chart of beard and moustache categories. There are sponsorship opportunities if you want to send a less fortunate beard to the competition, or just raise some interesting press for your company.
