Thanks for writing about Big Rock in Fast Forward. I am glad that you are so interested and indeed a serious beer taster.
Regarding Traditional Ale, I can give you an absolute guarantee that it is the same brew we have always made. The cold microfiltration program we use has far less impact on taste than pasteurization. For the beer to have a decent shelf life, it has to be one or the other, and I can assure you that of the two, microfiltration is by far the best choice to maintain true flavour.
Regarding what you say about Köld, I should tell you that I was recently at a tasting in California featuring a representative spectrum of "craft beers," and the absolute winner among the judges was Köld. With Köld, Big Rock is marketing a true German-style lager very different from North American lagers in taste, ingredients and brewing.
Regarding Honey Brown, I would ask that you seriously compare Big Rocks with others currently available.
